Privacy policy
Penguin Colony Guide is a static website. It does not have accounts, comments, a newsletter or a database, and it does not ask you for anything.
What is collected
- Analytics. The site loads a Google Analytics tag, which records aggregate information about visits: pages viewed, approximate region, device type, and how you arrived. This is used to see which guides are useful. Individual visitors are not identified to us.
- Server logs. The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes requests to deliver the pages and protect the site. Cloudflare's own privacy terms govern that data.
- Fonts. All typefaces are hosted on this site rather than loaded from a third-party font service, so no font provider sees your visit.
What is not collected
- No email addresses: there is no sign-up form anywhere on this site.
- No advertising identifiers: there are no ad scripts on these pages.
- No tracking pixels from social networks.
If you write to the address on the contact page, your message is read and answered, and it is not added to any mailing list. Corrections are kept only as long as they are useful for checking the page.
Opting out
You can block or clear the analytics cookie using your browser's privacy settings or any content blocker. The site works exactly the same without it: nothing on these pages depends on scripts to read the guides.
Changes
If the site ever adds something that changes this picture, this page gets updated at the same time as the change, not afterwards.
